John Mark Williams, Chief Executive Officer, The Institute of Leadership

John Mark Williams was appointed CEO of The Institute of Leadership in September 2020, having previously held a number of CEO and Director positions in the UK, Middle East and Far East.
John is a Global Advisory Board member for the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council, and has been a consultant to the UN International Trade Centre.
He has been a Diversity Champion for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, and an adviser to the Cabinet Office on strategy and leadership. He collected an Association Leadership Award in the UK’s Association Excellence Awards 2023.
John is a member of the Business Advisory Board at Newcastle Business School, and has chaired SME Symposia at successive Commonwealth Trade & Investment Summits.
John has been a guest lecturer on Strategy and International Business at universities in the UK and Europe for many years, has written chapters for business books, and occasionally writes about business for online publications. In 2024 John was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law from Northumbria University, in recognition of his services to international business.

Professor Adam Boddison, Chief Executive, APM

Adam joined APM (Association for Project Management) as CEO in September 2021. Prior to joining APM, he held leadership roles in several membership organisations including as CEO for Nasen (the National Association for Special Educational Needs) and Director of the Centre for Professional Education at the University of Warwick. He has published a range of books and articles and is a qualified clinical hypnotherapist. In addition to his role at APM, Adam has a diverse non-executive director portfolio supporting organisations and projects that benefit society.

Dr. Yvonne Thompson CBE DL, President, APM

Yvonne Thompson is an entrepreneur and business leader who became President of APM in 2024. Yvonne has led a varied and distinguished career in a diverse range of business sectors, including being a founding member of radio station Choice FM (now Capital XTRA), Music Editor of Root magazine, Managing Director of Marketing and PR company ASAP Communications, and President of the European Federation of Black Women Business Owners – now Wintrade Global Women In Business Network. In addition to her work in the UK, Yvonne has been involved with many international business projects and initiatives.

Dr. Andrew Schuster, Managing Partner, The Promoveo Group

Andrew is a consultant, practitioner, researcher and educator, devoted to helping progressive executives deliver their most complex programmes and projects successfully. He is a visiting professor at Skema Business School and Cranfield School of Management. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Cranfield University, a Masters Business Administration (MBA) from Sauder School of Business and a Bachelor Science (B.Sc.) Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta. He is a Chartered Project Professional, and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, the Institute of Consulting, and the Association of Project Management.
