Leadership Essentials: The Healthy Workplace
The Institute of Leadership & Management’s Mind Culture Report (2017) highlights how many people are affected by mental health issues and how much this is costing employers, not least in terms of days absent. Managers have a responsibility to look after the physical and emotional wellbeing of their employees and in so doing improve the performance of the organisation.
‘Leadership Essentials: The Healthy Workplace’ provides an overview of why a healthy workplace is essential for leadership capability and includes ‘Top Tips’ on how you can become a better leader in a healthy workplace.
The Essentials leaflet is supported by three Spotlights that look at aspects of a healthy workplace in more detail to help you improve your leadership skills:
- Health and Safety
- Wellbeing and Mental Health
- Work/Life Balance
