Contract term: Permanent
Working hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Location: Homeworking, UK. With travel to meetings and events as required.
Salary: £67,000 - £86,000

About the role
As our Head of Insights, you will be a pivotal member of the Senior Leadership Team. You will drive strategic impact by overseeing the creation, curation, and dissemination of high-quality content and research. You will lead a high-performing team, build strategic partnerships, and ensure our research and content outputs are impactful, credible, and commercially viable.
What you’ll do:
- Content strategy: Develop and execute a revenue-generating content strategy that enhances member engagement and financial sustainability.
- Thought leadership: Oversee the creation of thought leadership content, ensuring quality, relevance, and impact.
- Team leadership: Inspire, manage, and develop a high-performing Insights Team.
- Special Interest Groups: Establish and lead expert Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to drive collaboration and innovative solutions in thought leadership.
- Strategic partnerships: Cultivate relationships with academic institutions, policymakers, corporate leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance The Institute’s reach and influence and drive revenue.
- Digital engagement: Work with the Marketing, Events, and Digital teams to amplify content reach and stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll bring
Essential skills and experience:
- Relevant experience in public policy, economics, leadership studies, talent management, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives, particularly in revenue generating content creation or insights.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to identify trends, interpret data, and translate insights into actionable content.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, including policymakers, corporate partners, and thought leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Strong organisational, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Collaborative team player with a sensitive approach to others' needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, Outlook, and communication tools (Teams or Zoom).
- Flexibility and adaptability in handling additional duties.
- Willingness to travel.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience in non-profit, membership, or leadership development sectors.
- Familiarity with digital platforms and tools for disseminating research findings.
- Experience in managing editorial outputs, such as magazines or reports.
- Confidence in representing the organisation at events and in media.
- Familiarity with collaborating on event, workshops, or conferences to support engagement and content dissemination.
- Experience in change management or process improvement.
- Experience working with international stakeholders.
