7 Steps to bouncing back from redundancy as quickly as possible

More and more people are being made redundant today. Take Amy, she knew three months in advance that she would be made redundant. Living with that knowledge on a daily basis was very stressful and difficult when she was trying to be professional and support others at work. By the time she was actually made redundant her anxiety and stress levels were so high it was all she could do to stop herself from bursting into tears at any moment. In our first session together we worked on reinvigorating her confidence and inner resilience, the second on quieting the competing thoughts running round and round in her head so she could focus again, in our third session she told me she had a new job and while she was still anxious she knew we would be able to work together to help with that too.

Learning to take control of your situation and manage your emotions, will help you move forward with confidence.

Redundancy is not a reflection of your worth as a person, but rather a change in circumstances that presents new opportunities for growth and development. With the right mindset and tools, you can bounce back stronger than ever before and create a bright future for yourself just like Amy.
