John is our CEO, working closely with our Board and all the members of our team to support us in fulfilling our mission. He has worked in many leadership roles across the world and enjoys supporting other leaders to achieve their best. John did his MBA at Northumbria University, and spends most of his spare time running (slowly), reading, writing, and collecting antique Chinese Government bonds. Yes, really.

Melanie Robinson FIoL
Deputy CEO
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Melanie leads our Finance and Corporate Services team and as our Company Secretary oversees our governance and compliance. In addition to her role at The Institute, Melanie is currently studying an MBA at Aston Business School and is a Trustee for another non-profit organisation.
Gaynor Lewis FIoL
Director of Strategic Partnerships
Joining The Institute of Leadership from the professional body and development sectors, Gaynor has over 20 years’ experience of building relationships, in the UK and internationally, promoting the concept of continuing professional development. A key aspect is raising the profile of ‘leadership’ as a professional skill that can be developed and improved.
Gaynor’s favourite leisure activities include; walking the coastal path of Wales and volunteering at the local community theatre (always behind the scenes though, usually painting them!)
