What do AIoL, MIoL, and FIoL mean?

As an IoL Member, the post-nominal letters you can use depend on your membership grade:

AIoL: Associate of The Institute of Leadership

Associate Membership recognises professionals who are building their leadership knowledge and skills. It’s ideal for those developing their leadership capability and taking the next step in their professional development. 

As an Associate Member, you can use AIoL after your name.

MIoL: Member of The Institute of Leadership

Our Member grade recognises individuals with leadership experience who have demonstrated their commitment to developing themselves and others. It reflects your dedication to sustainable leadership and cultivating thriving cultures for those around you.

As a Member, you can use the post-nominal letters MIoL after your name.

FIoL: Fellow of The Institute of Leadership

Fellowship is The Institute’s highest professional membership grade. It recognises experienced leaders whose leadership has made a significant contribution to their profession or organisation, and who demonstrate a passion for leadership that constantly learns and evolves.

As a Fellow, you can use the post-nominal letters FIoL after your name.
