Requirements & qualifications
To apply for IoL Fellowship, you’ll need to meet one of the following criteria:

Over 3 years of experience as a senior leader

Level 7 qualification or higher
OR
-
Completion of an Institute Approved programme (or evidence of 3 years’ CPD)
What’s the process to become a Fellow?
Once you've registered your interest with us, you'll be sent the an application form within 48 hours. The form asks you to evidence your level of seniority and your leadership experiences.
Once submitted, your application will be reviewed against our Fellowship criteria and if any further supporting information is required, you will be contacted by our membership team.
In addition, your sponsor will be asked to provide a statement confirming how you meet the criteria for Fellowship.
On the second Thursday of every month your application will be reviewed by The IoL Fellowship Panel, and you will be advised of the outcome the following week.
Typically, an application takes around 1-2 months to be approved from the point of receipt.
Do I need a sponsor?
Yes. You need a sponsor or a referee who can support your application and confirm you meet the criteria. The sponsor allows us to carry out due diligence and ensure all Fellows in our community share in our vision and values.
