As the runner/holder of an Institute Approved programme, you will receive an official Outcome Notification confirming your programme’s status. This will include the matched MyLeadership+ courses that your programme aligns to.

Your complimentary membership provides you with access to a wealth of resources and benefits to support your learners, including access to our award-winning e-learning platform, MyLeadership+, containing 50+ leadership courses, as well as worksheets, guides and templates which you can use to enhance your programme delivery.

Your programme will be listed in our online directory (upon approval) allowing you to promote your accredited programme and increase its visibility to prospective learners and organisations.

For the application stage, our assessors would expect to see an overview of your programme and something from each module. This could be in the form of a presentation or a session plan.

The assessment criteria are designed to ensure that the programme effectively achieves its intended learning objectives and outcomes.

The purpose of the learning programme and its target audience are clearly stated
The learning supports demonstrable improved leadership practice
Consideration is given to learner inclusivity and accessibility to support the learning needs of diverse groups
Reference to models, theories and explanations are current and relevant
Collaborative learning is encouraged
The level of facilitation provided and the extent to which the development is self-directed are both clearly stated
The learning includes an element of self-awareness and reflection
Learning activities are organised in multiple formats and different methods used to aid all types of learner
Learner feedback is gathered and evaluated and informs the design of future programmes

Mapping against IoL membership grades is based on the following criteria:
Register your learners and manage the certification process with confidence. Find everything you need to onboard learners, issue certificates and support their progression to professional membership.
You can register your learners by filling in the registration form and emailing it to us at [email protected] or to your Account Manager.
Learners will receive an automated email through which they can create their passwords and access their student profiles. Learner access is granted for 12 months, while they undertake your programme.
Learners will have access to their profile and benefits for twelve months, while enrolled on your programme.
Learner Access Instructions - This is a quickstart guide for learners, including access information so they can make the most of their learner membership.
Pathway Access Instructions - This quickstart guide gives you everything you need to access your pathway and make the most of your membership.
Once your learners have successfully completed the programme, simply submit the Certificate Request Form and we'll issue their co-branded Certificate of Achievement.
Each learner will be upgraded to a professional membership grade for the remainder of their 12-month access period, giving the opportunity to experience the benefits of IoL membership.
Once upgraded, they will receive an automated email confirming their new membership grade and outlining the benefits available to them.
Learners will receive a second email containing their digital certificate and programme badge.
These digital credentials can be shared across professional and social platforms, allowing learners to enhance their professional profile and showcase their achievement on your course.

When a learner's 12-month membership period comes to an end, our Membership Team will invite them by email to renew their professional membership at a discounted rate of £100 for their first year.
